Poster Contest
Twenty-two abstracts were accepted to be presented at the Southeastern Chapters of the American College of Emergency Physicians poster contest on June 5, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in conjunction with the annual social event. Presenters will have the opportunity to discuss their posters, answer questions, and share ideas with other attendees during the session. View the abstracts here.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Identify issues affecting the work environment for emergency medical professionals in the governmental, political, legal, administrative and socio-economic realms.
- Explain the value of effective leadership on the healthcare team and the public.
- Employ alternative methods of education to enhance the experience for adult learners.
- Identify rare, high-risk conditions and review the most recent evidence-based approach to management.
- Discuss commonly encountered presentations to the emergency department.
- Demonstrate skills in the management of patients in the emergency department.
- Identify strategies for staying up-to-date on emergency medicine diagnostic and treatment strategies through literature review.
