Alabama Chapter American Association of Women Emergency Physicians
Founders: Annalise Sorrentino MD asorrentino@peds.uab.edu Welcome to our website! We are extremely grateful to Alabama ACEP for allowing us this opportunity and being so gracious with their resources. We hope that this website will be a good resource for all Alabama emergency physicians! We held our first meeting on April 5th, and had a wonderful turnout. It was an informal gathering attended by a mixture of medical students, residents, fellows, and attending physicians…both men and women! We have many of the objectives of the national section in mind, which are to meet, interact and network with each other, and to promote the professional advancement and leadership skills of female emergency physicians. We were met with a lot of great ideas and enthusiasm from all who attended. Future meetings: June 14th 12:00pm Lunch August 2nd 6:30 pm Please come visit our booth at the Alabama ACEP meeting in June. We will be promoting women’s health issues, as well as distributing information about our ideas and objectives for the future.
